2016 Summer Camps

Tennis Summer Camps Link:

June 6th - June 9th (Girls)

June 13th-June 16th (Boys

This summer we will continue to hold our annual Multi-Sports Camps.

This summer was an exciting turn out as we had 60+ young ladies learning the great game of tennis.  This is the 18th season for the duel sport camp as it is done w/ cooperation w/ the Basketball & Volleyball teams so young ladies can experience all three sports.

The Boy's tennis team also held their 3rd annual three sport camp.  The camp was combined w/ Basketball & Baseball.  The tennis portion of the camp had 50 boys attend.  Great turnout and a great start for the future.

VARSITY Match Report:

After a 60 minute rain delay in the middle of the 1st round and a major down pour in the middle of the 2nd round, the Alexandria Tigers were unable to play all three rounds in the Peru Invitational.   Alexandria knocked off D4 ranked Centerville 3-2 to capure at least a win on the rainy Saturday.   Both doubles swept Centerville in straight sets.   Matt & Blake lost two tight matches to two players they have battled for three straight seasons.   Sam got the deciding point winning in two good sets.

The JV opened their season w/ a 7-0 shut out of Kokomo.   Trevor, Tyler & Keegan captured the singles wins.   Isaac, Caleb, Seth, & Levi took care of the doubles wins.   Add in a couple playbacks and it was a big win against a much bigger program.

VARSITY Match Report:

The Alexandria Tennis team add a 2nd title to their amazing 2016 season capturing a share of the Central Indiana Conference Title!  This along w/ the Madison County Championship are two major accomplishments for the youngest squad in either group.

A 4-1 win against rival Elwood brought home the 2nd title.   Alli & Colleen captured the singles wins.  Megan, Anna, Madlayn, & Mary took care of the doubles points.  Blaine lost a close one to a tough senior.  Great win for the Tigers!

The JV Tigers went undefeated in CIC play!   A close 3-2 win against MG beat the rain and a 6-2 win against Elwood capped off a great CIC run.   Jordan, Savannah, Lindsie & Delaney lead the team with singles wins.   Logan, Lindsie, Madison, Alexa, Ellie, & Rowan lead the team with doubles wins.  Great way to wrap up CIC play.

2015 Christmas Season

The Alexandria Tennis teams generously gave again this year as we were able to bring a Christmas cheer to two local children.  A five year old boy and a six year old girl will have a great surprise at Christmas as the tennis players donated well over $225 to purchase gifts and clothing items for these young children  The Angel tree program sponsored by the AMHS student counsel is set up to provide Christmas for children who would not have anything if it was not for the giving heart of others.   We are very proud of the tennis players and their donations.   Special thanks go out to seniors Abbie, Hannah, & Bob who went out and purchased the gifts.
